There’s always a risk, but at least I won’t be considered some internet scammer. I prefer to do my work and have a clear conscience.
I get done with the commission, then I scan it and send a small preview in low quality to request the payment, that way I can prove that the sketch is done so I can get paid, once received, I send the good quality JPG file.
